Commitment to Safety

Strategic Environmental is committed to the health and safety of its employees, its customers, the communities in which we operate and the environment.  We have a strong track record of safe operations dating back to our REGS subsidiary inception in 1994 and have consistently maintained a very low incidence of illness and injury.  This track record resulted in the Company earning a Premium Cost Containment Certificate from the Colorado Department of Labor and Employment's Division of Workers’ Compensation.

We attribute our safe operating history to two factors:  First, we attract and retain highly intelligent and skilled personnel and oversee them with a corporate health and safety manager, health and safety field supervisors and DOT manager, and both an internal an external audit program, augmented by quarterly and annual safety bonus programs.  Second, we have implemented a comprehensive and exhaustive training regimen for personnel at all levels of our Company.  This training includes, but is not necessarily limited to, the following:

  • 40 hour hazardous material training program per 29 CFR 1910.120
  • 8 hour annual hazardous materials refresher training 29 CFR 1910.120
  • Department of Transportation HAZMAT training 49 CFR Part 172
  • Confined space training 29 CFR 1910.146
  • Fall protection training
  • Hearing protection training
  • Heat stress and cold stress training
  • Corporate health and safety program training
  • Fit testing and annual medical monitoring
  • Respirator use and care training
  • Random drug testing (DISA)
